Když se Adolf Zelený (1914-2010) v roce 1934 rozhodl pro kariéru důstojníka z povolání, netušil tehdy, že ho čeká sedmatřicet dobrodružných let v armádách tří evropských států.

Během poválečné služby v britském letectvu RAF se z navigátora přeškolil na řídícího létání a sloužil v exotických destinacích jako Singapur, Keňa a Libye. Jako velitel Školy pro přežití v poušti se zúčastnil četných expedicí do libyjské pouště a dvakrát navštívil legendární bombardér Lady Be Good. V roce 1968 jeho službu ocenila britská královna udělením řádu MBE.

512 stran v češtině, na 300 fotografií a dobových dokumentů, většina publikována vůbec poprvé a část je barevně, 3 mapky, to vše na křídovém papíru.

When Adolf Zelený (1914-2010) has decided for career of an army officer in 1934 he cannot foresee that he would spend thirty-seven adventurous years in armies of three European countries.

During post-war service in the Royal Air Force he passed retraining from navigator to air traffic controller and he served in exotic destinations like Singapore, Kenya and Libya. As Commanding Officer of the Desert Survival School he led many expeditions into the Libyan desert and he visited the legandary bomber Lady Be Good twice. His service has been appraised by the MBE in 1968.
