No. 1429 COTF was created to replace Operational Training Flight (OTF) within No. 311 Squadron to five operational traning to new crews for No. 311 Squadron.

On 1st February 1943 No. 1429 COTF  became Czech Flight of No. 6 (C) Operation Training Unit.
